Smitten Ice Cream Opens in Rockridge

The BCV-designed Smitten Ice Cream in Rockridge is now open! Eater announced that the new spot will serve as a flagship location for the company, featuring a 10-foot, 2,000 liter liquid nitrogen tank, underscoring “Smitten’s unique preparation process, which uses liquid nitrogen to freeze each ice cream to order using their patented Brrr™ machine.” Eater also noted that the space includes “nods to its history with corrugated steel, graffiti and the brand’s signature bright red.” Smitten’s other locations include Hayes Valley, Los Altos and an upcoming Lafayette shop.
