The Pan Am Worldport, Now and Then

Formally known as the Pan American World Port, more recently as Terminal 3 at JFK, this futuristic airport terminal opened on May 24, 1960 and ceased operations on May 24, 2013; it is expected to be completely demolished by 2015. There is a stark contrast to how it was perceived during it’s heyday, as in this vintage Chevrolet ad below, to its current state of half demolition.Pan Am World Port
